Cosmetic hair water is a type of alcohol base used for perfumes and cosmetics. Due to legislative differences, we can only ship this product to the Netherlands, Germany, and Belgium. It is not intended for professional use, and no documentation is available for it. Partly for this reason, we limit the quantity supplied to customers per order and per year. Cosmetic hair water is essentially a cosmetic product composed largely of alcohol. It is highly suitable for making perfumes, aftershaves, and other alcohol-based cosmetics. It is excise-duty-free, making it relatively inexpensive. It has a very faint scent of its own, which rarely causes issues during use. Use this product as a carrier for fragrance ingredients in perfumes and other cosmetics; virtually all fragrance ingredients blend well with it. Simply mix the fragrance ingredients with the Cosmetic hair water and stir briefly. If it does not dissolve immediately, letting the mixture sit for a while can work wonders. Some substances do not blend well with Cosmetic hair water; solid substances, such as Musk Ketone, can be particularly problematic. However, the issue can usually be resolved by first mixing the solid substances with the liquid fragrance ingredients and then combining that mixture with the Cosmetic hair water. Cosmetic Hairwater consists almost entirely of specially denatured alcohol (approx. 95%) and water (approx. 4%), along with a small amount of panthenol and a trace of mild fragrance. To address a question we occasionally receive: whether you create a perfume using pure alcohol, perfumer's alcohol, or cosmetic hair water, the end result is virtually identical, so much so that only an expert with a highly refined sense of smell could detect a difference.
